Summary: The MDG Customer Architect (Functional) role is focused on leading the functional design and implementation of SAP Master Data Governance (MDG) solutions. The position requires extensive experience in SAP MDG and SAP SD, along with strong communication skills to facilitate workshops and solution design. The candidate will manage end-to-end implementation cycles and collaborate with cross-functional teams to define solution architecture. This hybrid role is based in Slough, UK, for a contract duration of 6 months.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead functional design for SAP MDG including data modelling, UI modelling, and BRF+ rules and validations.
  • Conduct requirement gathering workshops and provide effort estimations for SAP MDG solutions.
  • Work closely with cross-functional technical teams to define future-state solution architecture.
  • Support architectural discussions covering integrations, application architecture, external vendor/data access, security planning, and performance considerations.
  • Provide best practices and resolve complex technical/functional challenges in SAP MDG.
  • Manage end-to-end SAP MDG implementation cycles including blueprinting, fit-gap analysis, configuration, data migration, cutover planning, and go-live support.
  • Own project deliverables across all phases of SAP Activate methodology.

Key Skills:

  • 15+ years of total experience with at least 10+ years of relevant SAP MDG functional experience.
  • Strong expertise in SAP MDG, including data modelling, UI modelling, validation rules, and replication.
  • Experience with SAP SD.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proactive mindset with structured problem-solving skills.
  • Strong written and spoken English.

Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced MDG Customer Architect (Functional) with deep expertise in SAP MDG , strong knowledge of SAP SD , and extensive experience designing and delivering enterprise-level Master Data Governance solutions. The ideal candidate will have 15+ years of total experience and at least 10+ years of relevant SAP MDG functional experience , with strong communication skills and the ability to lead requirement workshops, solution design, and implementation cycles.
