About Dealer Auction
Dealer Auction is the UK’s leading wholesale marketplace for used vehicles. Our digital auction platform connects sellers with thousands of trusted trade buyers, helping them sell unwanted part-exchange, overage, end-of-life or wholesale vehicles quickly, easily and profitably. And for buyers we make it faster and simpler to find the right stock, from multiple sources in one place. We’re an independent backed by two automotive giants Autotrader and Cox Automotive.
The role
We’re looking for an experienced marketing executive, someone confident owning social media and creating content that cuts through. But this isn’t just a content role. You’ll be hands-on across the full marketing mix. That means building and sending emails, briefing and managing design jobs, writing platform copy, supporting strategic planning, reporting on campaign performance, and jumping into research projects when we need fresh insight. You’ll help manage our campaign calendar, support with internal comms, and make sure everything we put out looks, sounds and feels like Dealer Auction. Our marketing team may be small, but we deliver high-impact work across each corner of the business. We’re involved in everything from Sales and Product to Platform UX, Internal Comms, Events and PR. The kind of work that drives measurable results, supports our wider business strategy and actually moves the needle.
Where you’ll work
Your official place of work is our Manchester office, but you are not expected to be there five days a week. Typically, you will work two days a week in Manchester, collaborating closely with the marketing lead. We also have a head office in Leicester. While you will not be based there, you will need to travel when required. This will usually be for team meetings or cross-functional sessions. Some of your onboarding will take place there too. We trust you to manage your time, and we believe the best work happens when people connect in person. Being present and available when it matters is part of how we work.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Running our day-to-day social media presence across LinkedIn, Facebook and X, while also exploring new channels and formats to reach and engage our trade audience
- Creating engaging content that reflects our tone of voice and speaks to both dealer and fleet audiences
- Supporting campaigns across email, social, web, paid and PR – from creative planning through to launch
- Helping shape our brand presence across all touchpoints, from pitch decks to platform messaging
- Working closely with product and UX on in-platform copy and communication
- Supporting sales with tools, materials and insight to engage customers
- Helping build our internal comms and employer brand
- Owning regular performance reporting and suggesting ways to improve what we do
What You’ll Bring
- Experience in a marketing role. B2B experience would be great, but it’s not essential
- Confident running social channels day to day, with a clear understanding of what good looks like
- Strong written and verbal communication. You know how to make words work
- Comfortable with the full marketing mix including email, paid, content, CRM, web, creative briefing and more
- Organised, self-driven and proactive. You’re the type who takes initiative and keeps things moving. Genuinely excited about what we’re building and ready to get stuck in
- A creative thinker who loves finding ways to make marketing more effective, not just prettier
