Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the Marine Team and liaise with other disciplines, clients, and vendors.
  • Coordinate with project team members across global offices to deliver tasks within timelines and budgets.
  • Create project-specific job notes, guides, and training material for consistent deliverables.
  • Organize schedules and resources within the team to meet project deadlines.
  • Break project tasks down to drawing level and estimate resources for milestones.
  • Manage a team of designers working remotely.
  • Work efficiently in identifying priorities and addressing urgent issues.
  • Utilize Microsoft Office tools including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Work independently and in a multi-disciplinary team environment.

Key Skills:

  • Formal qualification or on-the-job training as a Marine and Structural Designer.
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience as a Marine Designer.
  • Proficient in Aveva Marine software.
  • Ability to provide advice and guidance to junior designers.
  • Competence in Microsoft Office applications.

Initial 6 Month Contract

Leatherhead, Surrey – 3 days per week in office and 2 days per week working from home

2 Marine Designers are required to support a large Oil & Gas company who are based in Leatherhead, Surrey on an initial 6 month contract basis that will be outside IR35 and will offer a flexible hybrid working set up of 3 days per week in the office and 2 days per week working from home.

As a Senior Designer, you will support the Marine Team, liaise with other disciplines, and work with clients and vendors. Coordinating and working with project team members across global offices to deliver the tasks within allotted timelines and budgets.

The successful candidates will be proficient in using Aveva Marine software.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Marine and Structural Designer with a formal qualification or on job training
  • As the Marine Designer, you will have a minimum experience of 10 years
  • Proficient in the use of Aveva Marine and be able to provide advice / Guidance to junior designers
  • Ability to manage a team of designers working remotely
  • Creation of project specific job notes, guides and training material to support consistent deliverables
  • As the Marine Designer, you will be organizing schedules and resources within the team to achieve required deliverables to project deadlines
  • Breaking project tasks down to drawing level and estimating resources required to complete milestones
  • Competence in the use Microsoft Office including Word, Excel and PowerPoint
  • As the Marine Designer, you will have the ability to work efficiently and effectively in identifying priorities and be agile in addressing emerging urgent issues as they arise
