Key Responsibilities:
- Carry out surveying of company lands using GPS surveying equipment.

Key Skills:

- Strong organizational skills.
- Full driving license.

An established Irish public sector organization is seeking a Property Mapping Surveyor to join its Strategic Property team based in Athlone.
Job Purpose: Strategic Property Department has key responsibilities across all pillars of the Agency's
strategic objectives. The Department is responsible for the management of organization's
property portfolio with key activities including delivery of the Regional Building Program,
Strategic Infrastructure Development, Strategic Land acquisitions, Next Generation Sites
Initiative, Stakeholder Engagement and Influencing, Sustainability Initiatives at Scale, Asset
Management and Estate Management.
As part of the Property Legal Conveyancing and Procurement Team the Property Mapping
Executive provides vital support across all functions of the Property Department, in particular
the preparation and management of all mapping related documentation for inclusion in the
legal conveyancing process.
The Property Mapping Executive ensures that the boundaries of organization's land banks are
accurately recorded for asset management and marketing purposes and that correct
mapping and title information is provided to existing and prospective clients in our marketing
and transactional interactions.
The Property Mapping Executive is also responsible for managing and developing our GIS
mapping system, a dynamic and user-friendly geospatial platform that supports both property
and regional operational requirements. The Property Mapping Executive provides invaluable
support to the Acquisitions Team in identifying and assessing target lands and carrying out
site due diligence. This role requires a knowledgeable and approachable self-starter with
specialized mapping and surveying experience.

Key Tasks:
In line with the strategy targets and objectives set out in Adapt Intelligently: A Strategy for
Sustainable Growth and Innovation 2025-29, the key tasks include:
* To carry out all required surveying of the company lands using GPS surveying equipment
* To prepare and manage all property related documentation for inclusion in the legal
conveyancing process, including the preparation of property instructions, reviewing
title burdens, requisitions, completing Declarations of Identity;
* Preparation of information maps, transaction maps, contract maps, rectification
maps and Land registry compliant maps.
* To manage maintain and update the GIS database, IDARE.
* To Manage and maintain geospatial datasets in a growing Geospatial and Data
Department to ensure databases and web applications are up to-date, and develop
new processes and procedures, as necessary.
* To develop dashboards, workflows and automate processes to increase efficiencies,
* To provide continued training and support to Property and Regions on the GIS
interface.
* To assist with site due diligence and title investigation in respect of acquisitions.
* To deal with third party Consultants/Engineers on the accurate setting out of sites for
disposal & boundary rectifications and to engage with third parties to resolve
boundary irregularities.
* To update and maintain CAD mapping.
* To contribute to the Department as part of the Strategic Property Team
* Any other appropriate duties as shall contribute to the achievement of the purpose
and function of the post.
* To utilize technology effectively in order to manage the property business in the most
effective and efficient manner.
* To prepare and present proposals to the relevant Committees/Board as appropriate
in respect of Property Mapping matters.

Salary Scale:
€52,546 to €75,472 per annum contributory superannuation. Appointment is made
at minimum point of scale. Must start at min of the scale. Annual increments apply.
Rising by long service increments to €77,286 (after 3 years satisfactory service at the
maximum of the range.
