Summary: The Manufacturing Trainer at Polypipe Building Services is responsible for coordinating and delivering impactful training programs to enhance the skills and engagement of operational teams. Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage, coordinate, and deliver training for shift-based operational teams
  • Work closely with operational leaders to identify induction requirements and ongoing individual and team development needs
  • Track and maintain accurate records of completed training, briefings, and inductions using the digital skills matrix
  • Communicate training progress clearly to relevant leaders and managers
  • Provide weekly and/or monthly updates on induction and training KPIs
  • Review trainee progression, identifying barriers and providing honest, constructive feedback
  • Make reasonable adjustments to training delivery where required
  • Support the creation, review, and updating of Safe Systems of Work (SSWs)
  • Assist in communicating production-related KPIs to operational teams
  • Continuously review and improve training content and delivery methods to ensure effectiveness
  • Support operational leaders with feedback and communication of SISI action status

Role: We’re looking for a proactive and engaging Manufacturing Trainer to support our operational leaders in creating an engaged, skilled, and high-performing workforce. This role is all about coordinating impactful inductions, delivering high-quality training, and ensuring our digital training platforms and skills matrices are up to date and driving performance. Training areas include (but are not limited to): Safe Systems of Work (SSWs), CIPS, product quality standards, IFS processes (booking, shipping, etc.), HR and Health & Safety inductions, MHE training, and medical arrangements.
