Manufacturing Technician – Defence Industry

Key Responsibilities

  • Assemble, inspect and certify products to engineering standards.
  • Complete manufacturing documentation and data packs.
  • Use tools, gauges and measuring equipment.
  • Support production, repair and modification activities.
  • Work from engineering drawings and manufacturing instructions.
  • Ensure compliance with quality, safety and workmanship standards.

Essential Qualifications

Either: Electrical/Mechanical Engineering / Manufacturing Apprenticeship (Advanced Level or L3 Standard) or Electrical/Mechanical Engineering / Manufacturing Level 3 academic qualification (ONC, diploma, etc.) and Electrical/Mechanical Engineering / Manufacturing Level 3 vocational qualification (NVQ) *Not required if a L3 apprenticeship standard has been achieved

Essential Experience

  • Manufacturing, Production or Assembly Technician background
  • Mechanical or Electro-Mechanical Assembly
  • Engineering Production Environment
  • ESD Awareness/Training

This role is based near our client's headquarters in Stevenage, a key site for missile operations with excellent transportation links.
