Summary: The Manufacturing Project Manager role involves overseeing manufacturing projects within the defence industry, focusing on cost control and schedule adherence. The position requires collaboration with Programme Managers and the Manufacturing Management Team to ensure project success. The role is predominantly on-site in Bolton and requires SC clearance. This is an initial 12-month contract classified as inside IR35.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide support to Programme Managers and Manufacturing Management Team to define, plan, direct, and deliver manufacturing projects/contracts.
• Manage stakeholder interfaces and ensure accurate reporting of project performance.
• Own Manufacturing Work Packages from cost, schedule, and quality perspectives.
• Plan and facilitate large scale contracts throughout the product life cycle.
• Develop and maintain relationships with internal customers and subcontractors.
• Assist in preparing and maintaining contract risk and opportunity plans/budgets.
• Communicate project/programme requirements to a multi-disciplined team.
• Play a key role in tendering/bidding activities for future business acquisition.

Key Skills:

• Proven track record as a Project Manager in fixed cost programmes within a Matrix organisation.
• Experience in an engineering or production environment preferred.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to build relationships and drive multi-functional teams.
• Pro-active and tenacious with the ability to prioritize and manage strategic business needs.
• Experience in applying Project Management skills in a relevant business environment.
• Good command of Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
