Manufacturing Project Manager

Summary: The Manufacturing Project Manager role is a 12-month contract based in Bolton, focusing on managing manufacturing projects within a leading Defence and Aerospace company. The position requires collaboration with Programme Managers and the Manufacturing Management Team to ensure successful project delivery. Candidates should have experience in a manufacturing environment and possess strong communication and relationship-building skills. This role is classified as inside IR35 and offers a competitive hourly rate.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide support to the Programme Managers and Manufacturing Management Team to define, plan, direct and deliver manufacturing projects/contracts.
• Manage stakeholder interfaces including internal customers.
• Plan, facilitate and provide support to the success of large-scale contracts throughout the product life cycle.
• Develop and maintain key relationships with internal customers and key subcontractors.
• Assist in the preparation and maintenance of contract risk and opportunity plans/budgets.

Key Skills:

• Proven track record in the delivery of fixed cost programmes within a matrix organisation.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to build relationships.
• Enthusiastic, pro-active, and tenacious individual capable of prioritising and understanding strategic business needs.
• Experience in the application of Project Management skills at assistant level in a relevant business environment.
