Summary: This role is a fixed-term contract position for 2 years, focused on leading large cross-departmental projects in Engineering, Supply Chain, and Operations. The Manufacturing Project Manager will develop project scope documents, manage contractors, and ensure compliance with safety and regulatory standards while driving continuous improvement initiatives on site.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead large cross-departmental Engineering, Supply Chain, and Operations projects.
  • Develop detailed project scope documents with input from stakeholders.
  • Manage project budgets, schedules, and contractor activities.
  • Ensure compliance with safety standards and regulations.
  • Drive Engineering Continuous Improvements to enhance production and site safety.
  • Prepare capex and design documents, liaising with contractors for pricing.
  • Provide regular milestone updates and stakeholder reviews.
  • Contribute to the Engineering Management System by issuing procedures.

Key Skills:

  • Engineering/Project Management degree.
  • Formal Project Management qualifications (Prince 2/APM).
  • NEBOSH certification is advantageous.
  • 5+ years’ experience in a hazardous manufacturing environment.
  • Working knowledge of UK Health and Safety legislation.
  • 2+ years’ experience of RAMS and PTW issuing/approving.
  • Regulatory understanding (PSSR, LOLER, PUWER, HASAW 1974, SEVESO/COMAH).
  • Working knowledge of ATEX/DSEAR.
  • Experience with Project Management tools (e.g., Gantt).
  • Proficient in AutoCAD.
