Summary: The Manufacturing Process Engineer (Mechanical) role in SE London focuses on supporting the industrialisation of high-reliability submerged products. The position requires UK-based experience with relevant regulations and involves evaluating prototypes, defining assembly procedures, and improving manufacturing processes. This role plays a critical part in the development of technologies that support global infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work on NPI Projects introducing new high reliability submerged products into production.
  • Evaluate prototype parts/assembly, provide feedback for assembly procedure and design improvements.
  • Review and validate contract documentation (drawings, bill of materials).
  • Design and develop Jigs, Fixtures, special tools using CAD.
  • Write build specifications for new and existing products.
  • Procure tooling/equipment to meet development and production plans.
  • Define standard build times and create build steps.
  • Instruct and advise operators on assembly.
  • Write Extra Work Authorisation (EWA) for investigations.
  • Analyse and improve production processes.
  • Conduct process audits and ensure compliance.

Key Skills:

  • Mechanical/Industrial/Production/Engineering Degree.
  • Experience in technical/manufacturing environment.
  • Organised and methodical problem-solving approach.
  • Experience in a highly regulated engineering environment.
  • Familiarity with ISO9001/TL9000, Lean, Six Sigma.
  • UK based experience with knowledge of HSE, PUWER, LOLER, HSE Regulations is essential.
