Summary: The Manufacturing Process Engineer will focus on work preparation for industrialising modifications in Single Aisle aircraft, ensuring both mechanical and electrical systems are supported. This role involves translating design intent into technical instructions and managing manufacturing processes to meet regulatory requirements. The position is contract-based until December 2025 and requires collaboration within a multifunctional team. The engineer will also provide shopfloor support and implement best practices in manufacturing processes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Translate design intent into technical instructions and Manufacturing Engineering data for aircraft manufacture, assembly, test, and certification.
  • Implement best practice methods, tools, and processes to meet business requirements.
  • Deliver detailed work preparation definition for aircraft production.
  • Ensure compliance with departmental procedural and regulatory requirements.
  • Project manage manufacturing methods, tools, and process improvements.
  • Evaluate and enhance manufacturing process capacity, recommending design changes as needed.
  • Provide electrical/mechanical shopfloor support to operations and assembly lines.

Key Skills:

  • Knowledge of lean principles.
  • Experience with SAP and other business management tools (DPDS/PASS, PDM link systems, MTM TiCon).
  • Ability to operate from first principles in manufacturing disciplines.
  • Ideally 5 years’ experience in a manufacturing engineering environment.
  • Knowledge of aircraft production and engineering methods.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills.
  • Leadership skills and self-motivation.
