Summary: PE Global is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer for a 12-month contract role based in Peterborough. The position involves project management, process development, and collaboration with various stakeholders to enhance manufacturing efficiency and quality. Candidates must have a strong background in manufacturing processes and project management, along with relevant technical skills. The role requires the right to work in the UK for at least the next 12 months.

Key Responsibilities:

• Proactively identify business opportunities and justify capital investment to senior stakeholders.
• Manage full scope of NPI or Improvement projects from initiation to production.
• Develop manufacturing process solutions and promote lean and quality practices.
• Monitor project health and ensure targets for People, Quality, Velocity, and Cost are met.
• Develop equipment specifications and ensure safety and manufacturing needs are met.
• Establish correct suppliers and manage timelines for successful delivery.
• Coach and mentor others in standardized workflows.
• Work cross-functionally to drive DFM and best manufacturing practices.

Key Skills:

• Understanding of Machining, Product Handling, Heat Treatment, Inspection, and Product Finishing processes.
• Working knowledge of ABB Robotics.
• Experience in leading quality concern resolution using tools like 8D, 5why, and fishbone diagrams.
• 6 Sigma project leadership experience.
• Degree or equivalent experience.
• Project management experience and skillset.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and Microsoft Office, especially project planning tools.
• 5+ years of relevant experience.
