Summary: The Manufacturing Engineer - Producibility at Assystem Energy & Infrastructure is responsible for providing technical support to operations and executing manufacturing engineering activities to enhance manufacturing processes. This role focuses on ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards while driving continuous improvement in manufacturing methods. The position is based in Derby and is offered on a contract basis for 12 months. The successful candidate must hold a minimum of Security Check clearance and be a UK national or a Dual National from a non-ITAR country.

Key Responsibilities:

• Ensure compliance of manufacturing processes with Health, Safety & Environmental Standards and the Zero Harm programme.
• Maintain processes to meet design intent and ensure product conformity to specifications.
• Investigate and resolve safety-related issues rigorously.
• Drive a culture of zero defects and work with functions to reduce risk and achieve Right First Time.
• Ensure compliance with company, legislative, and technical policies and standards.
• Identify and develop opportunities for improved manufacturing processes and digital systems.
• Plan and manage activities, including scheduling, resources, and costs, while communicating status to stakeholders.
• Develop, implement, validate, and continuously improve manufacturing processes and methods.
• Capture, analyze, and use data to enhance manufacturing process capabilities.

Key Skills:

• Professionally Qualified Engineer (minimum HND/foundation degree or equivalent).
• Recognized national or international engineering accreditation (e.g., IEng or CEng).
• General understanding of relevant manufacturing processes.
• Awareness of Manufacturing Systems and enabling software tools.
• Understanding of Manufacturing Engineering processes relevant to the role.
• Ability to analyze data for process improvement.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
