Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement CNC manufacturing processes for complex aerospace components
- Create and optimise 5-axis milling programs (online and offline)
- Programme using Siemens NX CAD/CAM
- Support and improve machining strategies for high-value, tight-tolerance components
- Reduce cycle times while maintaining aerospace quality standards
- Lead process validation, first article inspections, and PPAP support where required
- Provide technical support to shop floor machinists
- Troubleshoot machining issues and implement corrective actions
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives across milling operations
Key Skills:
- Proven experience as a CNC Manufacturing Engineer within aerospace or high-precision manufacturing
- Strong expertise in 5-axis milling operations
- Experience working with DMG Mori Seiki and Mazak machining centres
- Strong knowledge of Fanuc control systems
- Advanced Siemens NX CAD/CAM programming capability (online and offline)
- Experience working with complex alloys (e.g. titanium, Inconel, aluminium aerospace grades)
- Strong understanding of GD&T and aerospace quality standards
