Key Skills:

  • Technical or university degree in manufacturing or engineering-related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Thorough knowledge of manufacturing operations, technology development, and facility planning.
  • Demonstrated project management skills.
  • Experience in developing manufacturing standards and collaborating with teams.
  • Knowledge of Industry 4.0, IoT, and Assembly Automation.
  • Experience with Siemens Teamcenter and/or SAP solutions.
  • Budget management and capital project delivery experience.
  • Previous experience in developing PFMEAs and control plans.
  • 3D modelling knowledge using Creo or similar software.
  • 6 Sigma Green belt certification or project management qualification.

I am looking for a contractor to work with a large manufacturing company in Stafford. This is a 12 months + contract with the opportunity to work on some interesting internal projects. The successful contractor will be able to identify waste in manufacturing processes and know how to change it. Having worked on large scale manufacturing projects, via technology or Capital investment.

Required Skills and Experience:

  • Technical or university degree in an appropriate manufacturing or engineering related field, or equivalent experience in manufacturing engineering or design engineering.
  • Thorough knowledge of manufacturing operations, technology development and facility planning.
  • Demonstrated project management skills or contribution to delivery of complex projects both through technology or scale.
  • Experience in development of manufacturing standards and procedures, and collaborating with other teams to agree joint standards.
  • Problem solving, decision making, and critical thinking skills, with demonstrated ability to bring problems to a successful resolution.
  • Communication skills and demonstrated ability to work within cross-functional teams.

I am looking for Knowledge of:

  • Knowledge of Industry 4.0, IoT and implementing Assembly Automation.
  • Manufacturing systems experience including use of Siemens Teamcenter and/or SAP solutions
  • Experience with budget management and/or capital project delivery
  • Previous experience in development of PFMEAs and control plans
  • 3D modelling knowledge using Creo or similar.
