Summary: The Manufacturing Engineer role at PE Global involves providing support and guidance in production, quality, and safety compliance for a leading manufacturer of construction and mining equipment. The position is a 6-month contract focused on enhancing manufacturing processes and equipment reliability. Candidates should have relevant experience and knowledge in assembly processes and lean methodologies. The role is based in Stafford, England, and requires candidates to have the right to work in the UK.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support and guide all aspects of production, costs, quality, compliance to safety guidelines, and environmental requirements.
- Identify and implement enhancements and modifications to equipment and processes.
- Monitor equipment and process reliability; identify and address problem areas.
- Analyze engineering change notices and implement necessary changes.
- Provide engineering support on planning, development, operation, and maintenance of equipment, processes, or facilities.
- Rebalance work and prepare the line for production, supporting key aspects of processes.
Key Skills:
- Degree or equivalent experience.
- IOSH Managing Safety certification (desirable).
- 3-5 years of experience in manufacturing engineering.
- Knowledge of assembly processes.
- Experience with lean methodologies, including Six Sigma and Kaizen improvement tools.
- Basic knowledge of Microsoft applications.
- Experience with ERP systems (beneficial).
- Experience with manufacturing execution systems (beneficial).
