Summary: The Manufacturing Engineer role at an automotive component manufacturer involves providing engineering support to production lines, focusing on exterior or interior trim products. The position requires planning and implementing new products, managing suppliers, and supporting quality assurance efforts. Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and implement new products and changes to the manufacturing processes.
- Manage suppliers.
- Manage project and timing of complex assembly systems.
- Support the quality department in closing out customer concerns through 8D.
- Complete PFMEA's, process flows, and standard operating instructions.
- Generate layout and process flows.
Key Skills:
- Degree in mechanical or manufacturing discipline or significant experience in first tier automotive.
- Experience in fast-paced manufacturing environments.
- Exposure to manufacturing lines reliant on complex IT systems.
- Experience in a just in time (JIT) environment.
