Key Responsibilities:
- Act as a component owner within the Manufacturing Engineering team.
- Ensure parts meet product definitions and address non-conformance issues.
- Drive improvements in product quality and cost through structured problem-solving.
- Collaborate with Design Engineering to align product specifications with manufacturing capabilities.

Key Skills:
- Degree/HND/HNC in engineering or relevant discipline.
- Previous experience in a manufacturing engineering role.
- Strong analytical skills and technical problem-solving abilities.
- Knowledge of six sigma/lean philosophy and techniques.
- Excellent organisational, communication, and presentation skills.
- Self-directed with a flexible attitude and a keen interest in learning.

Job description - the role
What you'll be doing:
- A key part of the Manufacturing Engineering team working as a component owner.
- Responsible for the method of manufacture and ensuring parts meet the product definition
- Addressing the causes of non-conformance and non-right-first-time to drive improvements to product quality and cost.
- Part of a high-performing team with capability in single-crystal casting method development, tooling design, metrology, data analytics, metallurgy and more.
- Using data and a structured approach to solve problems; finding root causes and implementing improvements to our manufacturing processes and methods.
- Working with Design Engineering to align product design specifications with manufacturing capability, and with our internal and external suppliers and customers to improve supply chain performance and customer satisfaction
What we're looking for:
- An engineering or other relevant discipline degree/HND/HNC and previous experience working in a manufacturing engineering role.
- You will have strong analytical skills and a proven record of technical problem-solving along with knowledge of six sigma / lean philosophy & techniques.
- You will possess excellent organisational, communication and presentation skills and feel comfortable presenting to varied audiences.
- You will be self-directed with a flexible attitude to work and a keen interest in learning.
- Good team working skills are essential.
