Key Responsibilities
- Optimising manufacturing and supporting processes to improve productivity, cost, lead times and quality
- Leading structured problem resolution using PSP, 8D, root cause analysis and DMAIC techniques
- Identifying and leading Lean Manufacturing and Continuous Improvement projects, including communicating project progress
- Recognising and escalating process, delivery and project risks, issues and improvement opportunities
- Promoting a culture of continuous improvement and supporting the development of improvement frameworks
- Implementing PFMEA, 5S and Asset Care programmes across operational processes
- Supporting supply chain improvement initiatives and production teams with electronic and hardware assembly, testing and troubleshooting
- Investigating product non-conformances and implementing effective corrective actions
Job Requirements
- Degree qualification in manufacturing engineering, mechanical engineering, electronics engineering or a related discipline
- Strong knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma and Continuous Improvement tools and techniques
- Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt qualification
- Experience leading change management teams and improvement projects
- Detailed understanding of electronic and mechanical assembly and testing principles
- Experience in electro-mechanical assembly, automated and manual measurement techniques, and a range of test equipment
- Experience troubleshooting product non-conformances and applying PSP, 8D, RCA and DMAIC methodologies
- Familiarity with MRP tools, with knowledge of IFS advantageous
Additional Information
Six-month contract based in Romsey
On-site attendance required five days per week
The role can start under BPSS clearance, with Security Check (SC) clearance highly preferred
You must be able to attain SC clearance if it is not already held
