Summary: The Manufacturing Engineer role is a 12-month contract position focused on implementing and improving manufacturing processes with a commitment to a 'Zero Defects' approach. The engineer will be responsible for developing and governing manufacturing process elements while utilizing data to enhance efficiency. Effective communication and technical skills are essential for success in this role. Candidates will be contacted within two working days of application.
Key Responsibilities:
- Take a 'Zero Defects' approach in all day-to-day activities.
- Develop, implement, validate, maintain, and continuously improve manufacturing processes.
- Create, maintain, and/or govern elements that clearly define the manufacturing process and control them effectively.
- Capture, analyze, and use data to demonstrate and improve manufacturing processes.
Key Skills:
- Qualified to HNC level in an Engineering subject or with relevant experience.
- Computer literate and able to communicate effectively at all levels on technical issues.
- General awareness of Manufacturing Systems.
- Understanding of Lean Principles.
- Continuous Improvement mindset.
- Ability to read technical drawings related to manufacturing/repair processes.
