Summary: The Manufacturing Engineer will support operations at a client's facility on a fixed-term basis, focusing on optimizing production processes and enhancing product quality. This role requires strong project management skills to lead cross-functional teams in implementing initiatives and ensuring timely project delivery. The ideal candidate will leverage technology to address complex manufacturing challenges and manage projects from conception to completion.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and document process layouts to optimise manufacturing workflows.
- Read and interpret CNC programs for lathes and milling machines using Mazak controls.
- Extract and analyze process-specific details from standards to create precise supplier requirements.
- Collaborate with the Project Manager to oversee and coordinate contractor activities on-site.
- Create basic 2D drawings and 3D models in AutoCAD or Fusion 360 when needed.
- Develop clear and comprehensive Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for all project-related processes.
Key Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
- Strong project coordination skills, particularly in managing on-site contractors.
- Ability to interpret and apply industry process standards effectively.
- Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a data-driven approach.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD or Fusion 360 for basic design tasks.
