Summary: The Manufacturing Engineer role is a 12-month contract position focused on implementing and improving manufacturing processes with a commitment to a 'Zero Defects' approach. The engineer will be responsible for developing and maintaining process documentation, analyzing data to enhance manufacturing efficiency, and ensuring effective communication of technical issues. The position is based in Renfrewshire and requires a blend of technical knowledge and practical experience in manufacturing systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Take a 'Zero Defects' approach in all day to day activities.
  • Develop, implement, validate, maintain and continuously improve manufacturing processes.
  • Create, maintain and/or govern elements which clearly define the manufacturing process and control them effectively.
  • Capture, analyse and use data to demonstrate and improve manufacturing processes.

Key Skills:

  • Qualified to HNC level in an Engineering subject or with experience.
  • Computer literate and able to communicate effectively at all levels on technical issues.
  • General awareness of Manufacturing Systems.
  • 'Lean Principles' understanding.
  • Continuous Improvement mindset.
  • Ability to read technical drawings related to manufacturing/repair process.

Salary: £32.47 DOE (Umbrella)

Location: Renfrew

As a Manufacturing Engineer you will be doing:
