Summary: The Manufacturing Engineer role involves supporting the development and operational programs of next-generation avionics manufacturing. The position focuses on enhancing manufacturing processes, ensuring quality control, and fostering collaboration with various stakeholders. The engineer will apply Lean methodologies to drive improvements while maintaining safety and regulatory standards. This is an outside IR35 contract role based in Bristol for an initial 12-month period.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide hands-on technical support for the development and integration of manufacturing processes, including tooling design and assembly.
  • Cultivate strong, collaborative relationships with internal teams, external partners, and suppliers.
  • Drive process improvements by applying Lean methodologies to enhance efficiency and reduce waste.
  • Ensure adherence to product configuration management standards and quality control requirements.
  • Maintain effective stakeholder communication to ensure smooth project execution and delivery.
  • Implement regulated environment practices and quality management systems such as ISO9000, AS9100, or D1-9000 or AS9145 APQP.

Key Skills:

  • Strong engineering expertise in manufacturing processes.
