Summary: The Manufacturing Engineer role is focused on supporting the manufacturing and build processes for a Next Gen Avionics client in Bristol. The position involves designing process control methods, evaluating tooling processes, and collaborating on tooling strategies to enhance quality and reduce costs. The contract is outside IR35 and is set for 12 months, with an emphasis on immediate availability for candidates.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support planning and modification of fixtures, tools, and manufacturing processes.
  • Design and apply process control methods, including detailed work instructions.
  • Utilize tools like SPC and PFMEA for process evaluation.
  • Continuously evaluate tooling process flows to enhance quality and reduce costs.
  • Collaborate to develop effective tooling strategies and coordinate tool inspection protocols.
  • Identify root causes of issues and document corrective actions.
  • Assess material and tool requirements to align with manufacturing needs.
  • Preferred experience with ERP systems.
