Summary: This role is for a Manufacturing Engineer at a trusted defence partner, focusing on efficient and cost-effective production processes. The position involves updating manufacturing instructions, designing tooling, and supporting quality assurance methods. The engineer will also resolve technical issues and manage configuration control within the manufacturing process. Strong teamwork and communication skills are essential for success in this role.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Compiling and updating Manufacturing Instructions to support the manufacturing process
  • Designing, commissioning, and proving associated tooling
  • Supporting the industrial validation process through the use of FMEA's, FAI's, and other quality assurance methods
  • Resolving technical problems that may arise during the manufacturing process
  • Managing Configuration Control by implementing Design Modifications into the Manufacturing Instructions
  • Supporting the Non Conformance Process using SAP

Key Skills:

  • A formal technical Engineering/Craft Apprenticeship to NVQ Level 3/TR23/TR21 and level 3 (ONC) or a formal further education certificate to HNC or equivalent
  • A minimum of 5 years' experience within an engineering discipline
  • The ability to interpret Design Drawings and produce Manufacturing Build Instructions for both Skilled and Semi-Skilled operators
  • Experience in Electronic Sub Assembly manufacture through to System level builds
  • Knowledge of the assembly process for small/miniature Electro-Mechanical Actuation Systems
  • Strong teamwork and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively at various levels of the organisation

This trusted defence partner is seeking a talented Manufacturing Engineer to join their dynamic team. As a key member of the Manufacturing Engineering department, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the efficient and cost-effective production of the company's products.
