Summary: The role of Manufacturing Engineer at TXM involves working on a project in Hampshire for over 18 months, focusing on welding processes. The engineer will be responsible for technical reviews, documentation creation, and providing support to production personnel. This position requires a proactive approach to problem-solving and collaboration across departments to achieve business objectives. Key Responsibilities:
- Technical review of design drawings and standards to mobilise new projects
- Creation, accuracy, and maintenance of manufacturing Bill of Materials (MBOMs), process routings, and SOPs
- Experience in creating weld documentation such as weld maps and annotated weld drawings
- Creation of data for process master to identify job times and manning requirements
- Layout of workstations including suitable storage for parts and tools
- Design and acquisition of jigs and fixtures
- Specification and evaluation of production tools
- Understand and adhere to all relevant process maps and create process maps when gaps are identified
- Maintenance of accurate on-system information to support day-to-day business operations
- Provide technical support to production personnel to ensure technical specifications are achieved
- Support production in creating lesson plans
- Cradle to grave responsibility for the implementation of design changes
- Support all departments to achieve business objectives and participate in problem-solving activities
- Participate or lead risk assessments for all tasks and processes
- Work analysis, method study, and labour utilisation analysis including Kaizen activities
- Evaluation and justification of capital investment projects
- Support internal & external audits as required
- Identification of next generation equipment and methods for improvements
- Promote best practices and safe working procedures
- Support ad hoc development projects throughout the business
- Provide industrial engineering support to other departments

Description: Manufacturing Engineer (Weld)

- Creation, accuracy and maintenance of manufacturing Bill of Materials (MBOM’s), process routings, SOPs

- Layout of the work station including suitable storage for parts and tools
