Key Responsibilities:
- Develop, implement, validate, maintain, and continuously improve manufacturing processes and methods in the supply chain.
- Capture, analyse and use data to demonstrate and improve manufacturing capabilities and identify improvement opportunities.
- Collaborate with internal and external technical communities and functional teams to fulfil product intent.
- Support the investigation and resolution of product and supplier technical problems.
- Identify and develop opportunities for new or improved manufacturing processes and technologies.
Key Skills:

Job description - the role
A number of exciting Manufacturing Engineering opportunities are available within the Aerospace Procurement Business at Rolls Royce.
Please note, the successful jobholder will be expected to spend 3 days per week at the client site in France. Our Procurement Manufacturing Engineering teams support everything the business does in the global supplier enterprise covering the Civil, Business Aviation and Defence sectors. Working as part of a fast paced and challenging business, in this role you will be aligned (based on skills and experiences) to the one of the Procurement Category teams or Central Manufacturing Engineering functions accountable for the delivery of Manufacturing Engineering activities across a range of suppliers and commodities or driving business critical activities. Covering all elements of the manufacturing product life cycle, from new product introduction through to mature component cost reduction and improvement programmes, you will have the opportunity to work with and influence world class external suppliers and teams.

What you'll be doing:
- Technical: Develop, implement, validate, maintain, and continuously improve manufacturing processes and / or methods of manufacture in the supply chain / to ensure capability to meet and continue to meet requirements for safety, quality, cost, delivery rate and lead-time
- Product Definition: Capture, analyse and use data to demonstrate and improve the current and future capability of manufacturing processes and identification of improvement opportunities.
- Collaboration: Proactively accesses internal and external networks of technical communities and functional teams, quality, design and project engineering, to ensure fulfilment and realisation of the product intent.
- Problem Solving: Support the investigation and resolution of product and supplier technical problems with the application and use of appropriate tools.
- Strategy: Identify and develop opportunities for new or improved manufacturing processes and technologies to meet or exceed current or future requirements.
What we're looking for:
- Suitably qualified or experienced Manufacturing Engineers
- Communication and stakeholder management skills with a strong positive attitude
- Technical experience of complex manufacturing, preferably within Aerospace or a related field, covering a range of process disciplines.
