Summary: The Manufacturing Engineer role is a 12-month fixed-term contract focused on driving continuous improvement and sustainable manufacturing practices within a leading technology organization. The position involves a balance of work inside and outside a cleanroom, contributing significantly to the manufacturing of innovative products. The engineer will support operations, lead process improvements, and collaborate with teams to ensure effective product introductions. This role is pivotal in enhancing quality, efficiency, and cost-effectiveness in a lean manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support manufacturing operations with engineering expertise
- Lead process improvement initiatives to enhance quality, efficiency, and cost-effectiveness
- Develop Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and implement lean manufacturing techniques
- Work closely with NPI teams to ensure seamless product introductions
- Use Six Sigma methodologies and structured problem-solving tools
Key Skills:
- At least 3 years’ experience in manufacturing engineering
- Strong knowledge of lean principles and Six Sigma
- Ability to analyse manufacturing data and optimize production processes
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
