Summary: The Manufacturing Black Belt role involves leading the transformation of a biopharmaceutical manufacturing site by applying operational excellence principles to eliminate waste and enhance value stream flow. The position requires the development and implementation of a sustainable improvement system to continuously improve process efficiency and effectiveness. The role also includes facilitating root cause analysis and promoting continuous improvement tools like Lean Six Sigma. This is a contract position for 3 months based in Wrexham, Wales.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the manufacturing site transformation through operational excellence principles.
  • Develop and implement a sustainable improvement system for continuous process improvement.
  • Identify metrics to monitor cultural progress in enterprise excellence.
  • Facilitate root cause analysis workshops for critical business issues.
  • Promote and utilize continuous improvement tools and techniques, such as Lean Six Sigma.

Key Skills:

  • BSc in a science or science-related discipline.
  • Black belt certified with extensive experience; Master Black Belt is a plus.
  • Experience using various Lean tools and techniques.
  • Excellent communication skills for interaction across all levels and functions.
  • Experienced in Operational Excellence Delivery with knowledge of the Shingo Model of Excellence or similar.

CK Group are recruiting for a Manufacturing Black Belt, to join a leading biopharmaceutical company, on a contract basis for 3 months. Salary: £24.62 per hour PAYE.

Manufacturing Black Belt Role: To lead the manufacturing site transformation through application of operational excellence principles and practices ensuring elimination of waste and developing value stream flow. To lead and drive Operational Excellence Transformation at functional level through the development and implementation of a sustainable improvement system that enables the Site to continuously improve the efficiency and effectiveness of it's processes. Identify appropriate metrics to monitor enterprise excellence cultural progress on site. Facilitate root cause analysis workshops as required for business critical issues. Promote and utilise tools and techniques to achieve continuous improvement and value creation, such as Lean Six Sigma.

Your Background : Minimum: BSc in a science or science related discipline. Black belt certified with large experience, Master Black Belt would be a plus. Experienced in using a variety of Lean tools and techniques. Excellent communication skills required to communicate with all levels from shop floor to head of site and across all functions. Experienced in Operational Excellence Delivery, with demonstrated knowledge of Shingo Model of Excellence or similar.
