Summary: The Manufacturing Bid Lead role at a world-class defence organization in Bolton involves leading the generation of manufacturing bids and proposals, ensuring compliance with industrial policies and competitive pricing. The position requires a strong background in manufacturing or production, along with experience in bid management. The role is hybrid, requiring 1-2 days on-site per week, and is initially contracted for 12 months. The successful candidate will work closely with various stakeholders to deliver effective bid proposals.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the generation of costed manufacturing bids and proposals.
• Analyze data to ensure quantifiable and evidence-backed cost estimates.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders.
• Ensure compliance with business and commercial criteria in bid submissions.
• Participate in functional and strategic change activities to support best practices.
• Support the New Business Team in identifying new business opportunities.
• Ensure effective process governance and adherence to policies and procedures.
• Generate awareness of the Manufacturing Bid Team across all programs.
• Collect, summarize, and present data for decision-making purposes.
• Develop detailed project plans, schedules, and milestones.
