Summary: The Manufacturing Accountant role at a leading FMCG business near Corby is a 6-9 month fixed-term contract focused on ensuring smooth financial operations. The position involves collaboration with the Site General Manager and finance team to provide insights, enhance efficiency, and maintain financial accuracy in a high-SKU manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee financial operations in a high-SKU manufacturing setting.
- Deliver accurate and timely financial reports, including variance analysis, to inform decision-making.
- Support budget planning, forecasting, and cost control initiatives.
- Partner with key stakeholders, including site operations and procurement teams, to optimise profitability and drive efficiencies.
- Provide commercial insights to enhance site performance and support the introduction of new products.
- Manage inventory levels, ensuring accurate financial tracking and reporting.
- Oversee the costing process for new and existing products, identifying cost-saving opportunities.
Key Skills:
- Experience in a financial role within the FMCG or food manufacturing sector (essential).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to work independently and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
- While formal qualifications (CIMA, ACA, ACCA) are advantageous, they are not essential for this role.
