Summary: The Manufacturing Accountant role at a leading FMCG business near Corby is a 6-9 month fixed-term contract focused on ensuring efficient financial operations. The position involves collaboration with the Site General Manager and finance team to provide insights, enhance operational efficiency, and maintain financial accuracy. Key responsibilities include overseeing financial operations, delivering reports, and supporting budget planning. The ideal candidate will have experience in the FMCG sector and strong analytical skills.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee financial operations in a high-SKU manufacturing setting.
- Deliver accurate and timely financial reports, including variance analysis, to inform decision-making.
- Support budget planning, forecasting, and cost control initiatives.
- Partner with key stakeholders, including site operations and procurement teams, to optimise profitability and drive efficiencies.
- Provide commercial insights to enhance site performance and support the introduction of new products.
- Manage inventory levels, ensuring accurate financial tracking and reporting.
- Oversee the costing process for new and existing products, identifying cost-saving opportunities.
Key Skills:
- Experience in a financial role within the FMCG or food manufacturing sector (essential).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to work independently and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
- While formal qualifications (CIMA, ACA, ACCA) are advantageous, they are not essential for this role.
