Summary: The role of Management Accountant involves supporting a major cross-border infrastructure business during a 12-month maternity cover contract. The position focuses on financial and management reporting, cash and financial controls, and collaboration with senior finance leaders to enhance processes and reporting. This is an opportunity to contribute to a high-impact finance team within a strategic asset connecting the UK with mainland Europe.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare monthly reporting packs with analysis and commentary for senior leadership
  • Produce rolling forecasts for costs and revenue
  • Reconcile revenue across multiple systems and sources, ensuring accuracy in line with IFRS 15
  • Support budgeting and reforecasting cycles
  • Provide ad-hoc financial analysis for internal stakeholders
  • Prepare reports for group-level submission and board review
  • Lead quarterly risk review reporting alongside senior finance
  • Manage payment administration across banking platforms
  • Oversee Accounts Receivable, including debt management
  • Support the preparation of annual financial statements
  • Assist with month-end close and development of internal controls
  • Contribute to year-end audit preparation and schedules
  • Work collaboratively with other functions to enhance reporting processes

Key Skills:

  • Strong experience in management accounting, financial reporting, and month-end close
  • Proven capability managing cash processes, including multi-currency (GBP/EUR)
  • Hands-on experience with SAP S/4HANA
  • Understanding of revenue recognition and compliance under IFRS 15
  • Advanced Excel skills, including macros
  • Excellent organisation, communication, and stakeholder management skills
  • Ability to prioritise, meet deadlines, and adapt in a dynamic environment
  • Proactive, reliable, detail-focused, and committed to high-quality delivery
