Summary: Seeking a Management Accountant for a 3-month contract within a Media company in Central London. The role involves assisting the Financial Controller with internal and external reporting, maintaining internal controls, and managing ad hoc projects to improve finance processes. The candidate will also handle VAT and Corporation Tax submissions, prepare statutory accounts, and support audit processes. Immediate availability is required for this position.
Key Responsibilities:
- Production of External data requirements for regulatory bodies
- Identify areas to increase efficiency and automation of processes.
- Set up and maintain automated data processes.
- Liaise with internal and external clients to deliver reporting requirements
- Assist with the full-year and Interim audit process
- Prepare/create statutory accounts
- Independently manage and own the VAT and Corporation Tax submission
- Review Balance Sheet accounts and provide feedback to the FP&A Manager
- Help with AP and AR Tasks as and when required.
- Lead project work to create efficiency in the finance function.
- Independently manage the full Intercompany process (variance analysis, invoicing and recharges across the group)
- Responsible for internal audits across the business department
- Variance analysis and operational decision support for Adhoc tasks
- Liaising the wider divisions across the business promoting joint working
- Liaising with the wider group Finance Departments to carry out the tasks in hand
Key Skills:
- Minimum 3 years' experience in a similar role
- Must be intermediate/advanced Excel skills, e.g. V Look-ups and Pivot Tables and other
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to work on own initiative and be highly motivated to work as part of a team and deliver high quality work to tight deadlines.
- The ability to work calmly under pressure.
- Demonstrate exceptional attention to detail.
- Experience previous Management / Finance accountant roles
- Experience of working with external financial auditors
- Be keen to learn and understand all aspects of our business.
