Summary: The Management Accountant role at a successful Edinburgh-based business involves a temporary contract for 3 months, focusing on accurate financial reporting and governance within a high-achieving finance team. Key Responsibilities:

  • Preparing month-end management accounts and supporting working papers
  • Preparing intercompany recharge sales invoices and payment runs for approval
  • Overseeing group procurement and payments
  • Preparing and maintaining balance sheet reconciliations
  • Managing accruals and prepayments
  • Preparing and submitting periodic VAT returns
  • Supporting annual accounts and tax computations, including liaison with external accountants
  • Overseeing the integrity, maintenance and upgrades of the accounting system
  • Championing governance and best practice in accounting processes and controls

Key Skills:

  • Strong technical accounting skills

Three Bridges Recruitment is delighted to support a highly successful business headquartered in Edinburgh as they look to appoint a Management Accountant, initially on a temporary contract for 3 months. Working within a friendly, hard-working and high-achieving finance team, this role plays a central part in ensuring accurate financial reporting, strong governance, and a robust control environment. This is an opportunity to join a modern, forward-thinking organisation that values innovation, personal accountability and continuous improvement. With a supportive leadership team and a culture that encourages development, you’ll be empowered to make a real impact from day one. You must be available to start work in early January. Salary - £40-50,000 dependent on experience.

The Job As Management Accountant, you will take ownership of key financial processes, ensuring the timely and accurate delivery of management information and driving strong financial controls. Working closely with the Finance Director, you will support best practice and a high-performance culture across the finance function.

  • Strong Excel capability including PowerQuery
  • Passion for best practice, accuracy and continuous improvement
  • Experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central, including Projects module (desirable)
  • Experience with project time-capture systems (desirable)
