Summary: This role is for a Management Accountant at a well-known construction business, offering a 9-month temporary position. The successful candidate will be part of a small team, responsible for producing monthly management accounts and assisting with financial reporting. Experience with COINS software is advantageous but not essential. Immediate availability is required for this position based in Warrington.
Key Responsibilities:
- Production of monthly management accounts (month-end typically completed within 4 working days)
- General accounts production and financial reporting
- Preparation of weekly statistics, including reporting
- Assisting the finance function through a structured 4-4-5 accounting calendar
- Working primarily within COINS (construction accounting software)
- Attending finance meetings as required and contributing to continuous improvement within the team
Key Skills:
- Immediate or short-notice period
- Part-qualified accountant - studier or strong QBE
- Experience in management accounting and month-end processes
- Construction or project-based accounting experience desirable
- Experience using COINS is advantageous
- Strong Excel skills (e.g. VLOOKUPs, Pivot Tables)
- Methodical, organised, and proactive in approach
- Someone who is happy to put forward ideas and improvements
- Comfortable working in a small team environment
