Key Responsibilities:
- Posting journals including prepayments, accruals, and consolidations
- Producing monthly management accounts across a range of P&L cost centres
- Maintaining accurate balance sheet reconciliations
- Budgeting, forecasting, and reporting to internal and external stakeholders
- Attending monthly review meetings with senior stakeholders
- Supporting process and system improvements within finance
- Completing VAT returns
- Supporting the month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring timely completion and accuracy of financial statements
- Preparing monthly management accounts, ensuring accurate and timely reporting
- Contributing to the management of the general ledger, ensuring all accounts are accurately reconciled, including balance sheet reconciliations and intercompany accounts
- Assisting with the preparation of statutory accounts and supporting audit processes, ensuring compliance with relevant accounting standards
- Monitoring and managing daily cash flow reporting and forecasting, advising on cash position in line with financial covenants
Key Skills:
- Part Qualified / Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA)
- Advanced Excel skills and strong analytical ability
- Strong communicator, able to build relationships across finance and non-finance teams
- Detail-oriented with the ability to work to tight deadlines
- A proactive approach, with enthusiasm for driving process improvements
- Comfortable working with and reconciling large volumes of data across different systems
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to deliver under time pressure
