Summary: This role is for a Management Accountant at a well-known construction business, offering a 9-month temporary position. The successful candidate will be responsible for producing monthly management accounts and assisting with financial reporting. Experience with COINS software is advantageous but not essential. Key Responsibilities:
- Production of monthly management accounts (month-end typically completed within 4 working days)
- General accounts production and financial reporting
- Preparation of weekly statistics, including reporting
- Assisting the finance function through a structured 4-4-5 accounting calendar
- Working primarily within COINS (construction accounting software)
- Attending finance meetings as required and contributing to continuous improvement within the team
Key Skills:
- Immediate or short-notice availability
- Part-qualified accountant - studier or strong QBE
- Experience in management accounting and month-end processes
- Construction or project-based accounting experience desirable
- Experience using COINS is advantageous
- Strong Excel skills (e.g. VLOOKUPs, Pivot Tables)
- Methodical, organised, and proactive in approach
- Ability to contribute ideas and improvements
- Comfortable working in a small team environment
