Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain and update weekly Profit & Loss (P&L) statements and supporting documentation.
  • Complete daily reporting on revenue, costs, and volumes.
  • Prepare monthly management accounts for depots and regions.
  • Analyse variances against budget and prior periods, highlighting key issues.
  • Assist in the preparation of annual budgets and forecasts.
  • Conduct monthly balance sheet reconciliations and prepare accruals/prepayments.
  • Support depot managers in understanding financial reports and KPIs.
  • Participate in ad-hoc financial projects and process improvements.
  • Travel to depots as needed to support training and financial reviews.

Key Skills:

  • Part-qualified accountant.
  • Strong Excel and financial modelling skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
  • Experience in logistics, transport, or a similar operational environment is desirable.

We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Management Accountant to join one of our divisions. This role is pivotal in ensuring accurate financial reporting and supporting operational decision-making. You will work closely with depot managers, operations teams, and central finance to deliver timely and insightful financial information.
