Summary: The Management Accountant role is a fixed-term contract for 12 months, based in Sheffield, offering hybrid working arrangements. Key Responsibilities:
- Review, reconcile, and prepare accruals and prepayments.
- Ensure correct income accrual or deferral and allocate indirect costs.
- Identify and correct errors within the accounting ledger.
- Support the production of timely, accurate management accounts.
- Analyse, calculate, and prepare financial information, including detailed breakdowns of accruals and income balances.
- Maintain and develop accurate and timely reports.
- Review performance data and follow up on variances with stakeholders.
- Support the preparation of financial forecasts, budgets, and year-end financial statements.
Key Skills:
- Significant experience in preparing and explaining accounting transactions.
- Experience of complex reconciliation of financial information.
- Advanced MS Excel skills and experience with SUN and Proactis or similar accounting systems.
- Experience in the preparation of forecast and budget information.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to work effectively with stakeholders at all levels.

Job Summary
The Management Accountant role supports the delivery of our statutory and management accounting service. As a key member of the Financial Reporting Team you will review, reconcile and prepare accruals and prepayments, ensure that income is correctly accrued or deferred, allocate indirect costs and identify and correct errors within the accounting ledger in order to support the production of timely, accurate management accounts in accordance with internal deadlines.

- Experience in the preparation of forecast and budget information

About the Role
- Ensure that all financial are correctly posted to the Sun Accounts to support the delivery of accurate and complete monthly management accounts to strict deadlines.
- Analyse, calculate and prepare financial information, including detailed breakdowns of accrual, prepayment, deferred and accrued income balances.
- Maintain and develop accurate and timely reports
- Review performance data, analyse material variances and follow up explanations and resolution with stakeholders.
- Support the preparation of financial forecasts and budgets
- Support the preparation of the year-end financial statements and the statutory audit
