Summary: The Management Accountant role at FJA involves overseeing the financial activities of a company for a 12-month period in the Rossendale area. Key Responsibilities:

  • Timely and accurate production of full monthly management accounts, including balance sheet, P&L, statutory reports, journals, and prepayments.
  • Provide monthly management accounts figures for on-site management and quarterly reporting to external stakeholders.
  • Prepare monthly balance sheet and profit and loss, along with a monthly variance report for the Managing Director.
  • Prepare statutory reports and liaise with auditors/accountants, including statutory accounts and corporation tax return.
  • Manage and monitor sales and stock figures, forecasts, and budgets, providing regular updates to management.
  • Provide accurate financial analysis and reporting to senior management.
  • Timely and accurate VAT returns.
  • Raise sales invoices for clients for ongoing workflow.
  • Oversee and authorise payroll figures prepared by the Assistant Accountant.
  • Manage year-end audit processes and stock take.
  • Manage company vehicles, insurances, utilities, and equipment leases.
  • Manage staff compliance including contracts and training.
  • Manage all bank accounts and maintain a relationship with the bank.
  • Management of company cashflow, producing monthly forecasts for timely payment of creditor invoices.
  • Management of the Assistant Accountant, providing guidance and support as needed.

FJA are currently recruiting for a Management Accountant for a period of 12 months with our client based in the Rossendale area. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Management Accountant to join a well-established and organised finance team, working closely with all areas of the business, particularly Directors and the Senior Management team. This role can be offered on a full time or a part time basis (e.g school hours)

Salary up to circa £50,000 DOE

As the Management Accountant , you will be responsible for overseeing the financial activities of the company, working closely with Directors and the management team.
