Summary: A Management Accountant position is available in Reading on a 6-month fixed-term contract, focusing on an integration project following a significant acquisition. The role involves managing financial elements related to the acquisition and ensuring compliance with accounting standards. Candidates should have strong IFRS knowledge and be able to manage multiple tasks effectively. Immediate availability is preferred for this opportunity with a £billion turnover company.
Key Responsibilities:
- Getting all finance elements of the integrating and accounting done from day one, managing the plan for acquisition including all pre-acquisition data requirements, completion date activities and post completion requirement.
- Ensuring everything is in the Group results by working day 5.
- An extensive plan has been written, you will be tasked with executing this and ensuring it happens.
- There will be a separate ledger of the integration entity and you will ensure all accounting goes into that ledger, think completion accounts, open end balances, reconciliations, month end and more.
- Ensure that AP is linking through to Accruals correctly whether that e Revenue or Expenses.
- You will liaise with external Auditors - providing Audit evidence so will need to undertake "digging into the data" exercises.
Key Skills:
- ACA qualified for a Top 10 firm.
- At least 2 years post qualified.
- Strong IFRS technical knowledge.
- Available immediately or on short notice.
- Good project manager/multi-tasker - you'll have lots to do!
- A strong understanding of Debits & Credits is vital.

You'll be....
