Summary: The Management Accountant role at Ann's Care Homes involves preparing monthly management accounts and handling day-to-day financial responsibilities for over 20 care homes. Key Responsibilities:
- Preparation of monthly management accounts and day-to-day management accounts responsibilities for 20 plus care homes
- Monthly/quarterly reconciliations of balance sheet accounts
- Responsible for processing supplier payments and finalising bank reconciliations for company bank accounts
- Posting journal entries and maintaining general ledger
- Producing ad-hoc financial and performance reports to support the decision making of the business
- Preparing other key reconciliations as required
- Assisting with budget management & variance analysis
- Assisting in preparation of year-end accounts and audit file
- Supporting the wider finance team with ad hoc tasks and projects as needed
- Any other duties deemed necessary by management
Key Skills:
- Qualified/Part qualified Accountant OR qualified by experience with minimum proven 4-year experience working in a similar accounting-related position
- Experience using SAGE accounts desirable or other similar financial accounting software
- Must be computer literate, with strong working knowledge of all other Microsoft applications including Outlook
- Strong Microsoft Excel skills and ability to work with spreadsheets
- Ability to prioritise with strong attention to detail, organising and planning skills
- Strong communication skills and ability to work well within a team
- Stable work history
