Management Accountant

Responsibilities

  • Act as a strategic finance partner to Event Directors and Operations teams, supporting all financial aspects of event execution.
  • Serve as the onsite finance representative, providing real-time oversight and support during events.
  • Collaborate closely with the Senior Finance Manager and event VPs to deliver clear, actionable financial insights to guide decision-making.
  • Own detailed, bottom-up business planning and cash flow forecasting for events.
  • Maintain up-to-date and reconcilable revenue forecasts and operational budgets by partnering with business teams, enabling accurate flash reporting and timely financial close post-event.
  • Conduct scenario analysis to support risk assessment and contingency planning.
  • Identify and communicate financial risks and opportunities as needed.
  • Coordinate with the internal tax team to ensure appropriate tax treatments are applied.
  • Where applicable, prepare, support, and submit insurance claims within required timeframes.
  • Partner with the management team to ensure the month-end P&L and balance sheet reflect current business realities.
  • Provide clear commentary on variances between actuals and plan.
  • Ensure the Senior Finance Manager is fully briefed on all critical issues and updates.
  • Deliver accurate and timely weekly cash flow requests.
  • Prepare and validate weekly and ad hoc sales reports.
  • Ensure quarterly commission statements issued to the Sales Team are accurate and complete.

Requirements

  • Qualified ACA / CIMA / ACCA
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Process orientated and able to manage and reconcile large data sets
