Summary: The Management Accountant role is a 6-month fixed-term contract based in North Leicestershire, focusing on the production of monthly management accounts and financial analysis. The position requires strong Excel skills and experience in management accounting, particularly in a manufacturing context. The successful candidate will engage with stakeholders to manage costs and implement financial controls across departments. Key responsibilities include variance analysis, balance sheet reconciliations, and supporting audit processes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Production of monthly management accounts with precise analysis and insights, including variance analysis and KPIs.
- Supporting the control of Capital spend.
- Participating in regular review meetings with stakeholders and budget holders to manage costs and advise on performance.
- Variance analysis with supporting commentaries and analysis.
- Monthly balance sheet reconciliations, preparation, and review to identify and eliminate risk.
- Provide assistance and good practice training to factories on finance and internal controls.
- Implement and monitor financial controls across all departments/sites, ensuring adherence.
- Respond to audit questions and requirements from external auditors.
Key Skills:
- Experience in manufacturing and stock management.
- Recognised accountancy qualification (CIMA, ACA, ACCA, AAT).
- Strong Excel skills.
- Analytical skills.
