Summary: The Management Accountant role is a 12-month fixed-term contract based in Leicestershire, focusing on cost reporting, forecasting, and budgeting within a finance team. The position requires collaboration with stakeholders to deliver financial insights and analysis. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills and advanced Excel proficiency, along with relevant finance experience. This role offers a hybrid working arrangement after initial training.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Reconcile and analyse cost data across different business areas.
  • Work with finance, non-finance, and management teams.
  • Prepare and review P&L reports ensuring accurate forecasts and analysis.
  • Coordinate with AP and other teams to recover costs from suppliers.
  • Own expense budgets and analyse cost trends for business insights.
  • Assess additional cost areas and operational efficiencies.

Key Skills:

  • Experience in finance including general ledger and management accounts.
  • Preparation and review of P&L reports plus analysis.
  • Ideally CIMA/ACCA qualified or part-qualified.
  • Advanced Excel skills.
  • Strong analytical skills with attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and proven business partnering abilities.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to manage multiple priorities.

Salary (Rate): £55,000
