Summary: The Management Accountant role in Leicester is a full-time, permanent position within a growing manufacturing company. The successful candidate will be responsible for accurate financial reporting and management accounting tasks, reporting directly to the Group Financial Controller. This office-based role requires a proactive and analytical individual with strong communication skills and relevant accounting qualifications.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Preparation of monthly management accounts
  • Reconciliation of control and balance sheet accounts
  • Accruals, prepayments, and general ledger maintenance
  • VAT returns and inventory control
  • Fixed asset register management
  • Journal preparation and posting
  • Support with statutory audit and month-end close
  • Delivery of ad-hoc and routine financial reports

Key Skills:

  • Fully qualified accountant
  • Strong knowledge of both P&L and balance sheet accounting
  • Previous experience within import/export environments (advantageous)
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to present to senior stakeholders
  • Analytical mindset with a proactive, solution-oriented approach
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team
  • Comfortable working under pressure and meeting tight deadlines
  • Proficient in Excel
  • Experience using Sage, Xero, and MS Dynamics 365 - Business Central (ERP)

SF Recruitment are working with a thriving manufacturing company in their search for a Management Accountant - This is a permanent, office-based position offering a dynamic working environment within a fast-paced and expanding organisation.

Reporting to the Group Financial Controller, you will play a key role in ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting, with responsibilities including:
- Preparation of monthly management accounts
