Summary: The Management Accountant role involves supporting the finance function of an established Engineering business during an ERP system transition. The position requires a detail-oriented individual to manage day-to-day accounting operations and ensure accuracy and strong communication with stakeholders. The initial contract is for six months, with an immediate start available, and the role includes travel between Dudley and Worcester. A hybrid working arrangement is offered, allowing for one day of home working per week if required.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Month-end support, journals, and balance sheet reconciliations
  • Processing invoices and credit notes within an ERP system
  • Purchase ledger management, including PO matching and query resolution
  • Supplier correspondence and statement reconciliations
  • Credit control and bank reconciliations
  • CIS submissions
  • Audit support (internal and external)
  • Ad hoc finance and administrative tasks

Key Skills:

  • Solid understanding of bookkeeping and accounting principles
  • Proven experience in accounts and high-volume data entry
  • Strong reconciliation and financial control knowledge
  • Confident user of MS Excel and other MS Office tools
  • Excellent communication, organisation, and analytical skills
  • Commercially aware with a positive, growth-oriented mindset

Salary (Rate): £45,000 per annum

We are supporting a well-established Engineering business as they seek a detail-oriented, hands on, Management Accountant to support its finance function during an ERP system transition. Initial contract will be for a 6 month fixed term period and an immediate start is available. Location: Initially based in Dudley , with relocation to Worcester from March/April. Ability to travel to both sites is essential. 1 day per week home working available, if required. The Role Reporting to the UK Financial Controller, you will support day-to-day accounting operations, ensuring accuracy, confidentiality, and strong stakeholder communication.
