Hays Senior Finance are delighted to be supporting our long-established client in the public sector to recruit a Management Accountant on an initial 3-month contract basis. Our client, based on the outskirts of Glasgow's East-end, are a membership body well established in the sector and a growth strategy for 2025 and beyond. Our client is looking for an experienced Management Accountant to join the team imminently to support with an increased workload in the team through year-end and project activities. This role offers a daily rate of £250 per day in a hybrid working arrangement.
Your new role
The Management Accountant will report to the Finance Manager and will provide support across month-end processes and process improvement activities. Working with a team of 5, you will be responsible for month-end reporting, planning and analysis, budgeting and forecasting and variance analysis. You will work with the Director of Finance on process improvements and drive change in addition to utilising the systems and processes in place. Joining an experienced team, you will benefit from working on a hybrid basis 2 or 3 days in the office in a flexible working environment.
What you'll need to succeed
You will have significant experience in Management Accounting and managing month-end processes, ideally professionally qualified or through experience. Strong excel and reporting skills are key with an ability to articulate management information to a varied audience. You will be available immediately to start or within one week's notice.
