Summary: The Management Accountant role in Christchurch involves supporting financial planning, reporting, and decision-making within a growing business engaged in major capital projects. This 12-month fixed-term position requires a commercially minded finance professional with strong analytical skills, capable of providing insights from financial data. The role offers exposure to various finance activities, including month-end reporting and capex analysis, while collaborating closely with the Head of Finance and operations teams.
Key Responsibilities:
- Preparing monthly P&L, balance sheet, and cash flow reports
- Assisting with annual budgets, forecasts, and variance analysis
- Providing clear commentary on key financial performance indicators
- Tracking costs and progress on major capital projects
- Supporting internal and external financial reporting and audit requirements
- Assisting with cash flow forecasting and working capital management
- Driving the continuous improvement of financial systems and processes
Key Skills:
- CCAB-qualified or finalist status (ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent)
- At least 2 years’ experience in a management accounting role
- Strong Excel skills and a data-driven approach to analysis
- Experience in a manufacturing or product-led environment (preferred)
- Confident communication and the ability to influence across departments
